As a Molecular Biology Lead, you will work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and help to create MDx tools used in farms. We are seeking a highly talented and motivated researcher with experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology areas, specifically in molecular assays and reagents design and development.
The ideal candidate will bring industrial assay/reagent development experience, with a track record in project management skills. You will participate in the design and development of high quality, robust products through the ownership of the assay design and development process and work with a cross cultural team based in Singapore and Vietnam
- Design and develop molecular assays, protocols for sample preparation and nucleic acid extraction and purification and/or other reagents related to molecular test for in vitro diagnosis
- Analyze data and troubleshoot issues and provide creative solutions
- Plan and execute experimental procedures to design, test, validate and integrate the products
- Demonstrates scientific technical expertise and drive projects to achieve project deliverables and objectives
- Compile and communicate project progress reports for milestone review with management and communicate & work effectively with team members on daily research activities
- Collaborating with project leads within and outside the organization to identify and resolve study specific issues
- Demonstrates good project management skills
- Guide junior staff in the team
- Minimal travelling is required to work with partners in Vietnam and beyond
Requirements
PhD/Masters/Degree in Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field with minimal 3 years of working experiences, preferably in biotechnology industry experience
Prior experience in project management is preferred
Proficiency in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques
Successful candidates should possess strong organizational and communication skills, and be able to work in a team. This position with key responsibilities not only in the area of design and development, technology evaluation and system integration, but also project management and coordination.
